I can't Complain about the Blame Game

We all know we are not supposed to complain about our position in life.  People can't stand complainers.  If you complain so much  why spend so much energy complaining and rather do something about it.  Ultimately people who play the blame game they are the ones who complain the most.  Really, you have no one to blame but yourself.  Ultimately, you did it all to your self.  This is hard medicine to swallow, and it's reality.

If your'e in a restaurant and your food is under cooked or inedible then I see a reason to call the manger and say something.  One hundred percent of the time , if you are semi polite or better, you will get a refund or they will bring you a new meal.  But you can not blame the manager or cook or waiter.

We all make mistakes, and if you are so high and mighty why did you allow such bad things to happen.  If someone dies unnaturally, why do you blame someone else.  Why didn't you take responsibility in the place? If you are so high and mighty, why did you allow such horrendous things to take place on Earth.  One person can make a huge difference.  The idea of "how can I make a difference, I'm only one person" is simply lazy and ignorant.  One person can make a huge difference.  Look at how Erin Brokovich single handedly took on corporate big business to make people aware.  She made a huge difference and she was one person.  She didn't blame anyone.  She points out the incorrectness and liability of those companies.

So there is a difference between pointing out the facts and blaming someone.  Sometimes we are blaming when were are thinking too.  So blaming doesn't have to be always verbal.  Our thoughts can indicate blaming too.  I'm not complaining. I am lecturing.  So for all you people who have intentionally hurt someone or caused pain to others or the environment:  YOU SHALL NOT PASS.

Popcorn Kernels

My Freshman Year in college I attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.  I got in through the Agricultural Department.  I enrolled as an Agricultural Engineering Student.  We had an intro to Ag engineering course called AG100.  This was an easy class.  We did several things to introduce us to the mind set of Agriculture.  So one day we were in a Lab Setting.  We were there to do a study on popcorn.  In fact, Orville Redenbacher's Popcorn Company had furnished the Agriculture Department to do a study on their popcorn.  One of the studies was done as a tutorial by us freshman.  The graduate students had already performed the study we simply re-did it as training exercise.  We did numerous tests on unpopped kernels.  One of them was seeing if putting raw kernels in the freezer or refrigerator would decrease the unpopped kernel rate.  Their were like four groups and I checked all the numbers.  Cooling your raw kernels does not decrease the unpopped kernel rate some people thought it did.  So keeping your kernels at room temperature yields the same results as freezing them.  When the lab was over we had all this popcorn left over.  And the instructor asked if anyone wanted it.  I wanted the huge bag, but I thought I would look silly walking around campus with a huge bag of popcorn which was in a see through plastic bag.  There was this really cute girl in our class who gladly, with a smile, took the popcorn.  Later on in the day I saw her walking with the cooked popcorn in the same bag, and thought "Well I guess it doesn't look that silly" or something along those lines.

The Love Boat Meets The Mary Tyler Moore Show thanks to Gavin MacLeod--Episode IV

The Love Boat aired from 1977 to 1987.  The early years showed some really good times.  The episodes in the mid 1980's displayed some goodies from the early days, and not many people watched the latter episodes.  Gavin MacLeod ,who stared as Murray Slaughter on the Mary Tyler Moore Show, played the glorius Captain Merrill Stubing who had the final word on just about everything.  Even when the deckhands did all the work  the polished Captain added the finishing touches making us all feel safe on board luxury cruise liners.  Gavin MacLeod has great timing.  His jokes and entry to the punchline are timeless.  I haven't seen all the MTM Show episodes in quite some time, but I from what I can remember Mary and Murray had a platonic relationship.  In fact I can remember when Murray Said "What Relationship, I just work here".  Of Course he meant he was warding off Ted Baxter from stealing the show on every stage.  Ted Baxter really thought too much of himself.  Although Bartender Issac Washington could really show up Ted Baxter Any day of the week.  Doubles Tennis:  Vicki Stubing/Mary Richards v. Ted Baxter/Issac Washington.  So the news story of the day at the television station reports cruise liners can be a load of fun if everything is clean. So hip hip hooray for the grips and deckhands.
